Mumbai is Maharashtra’s capital city and it was formerly called as Bombay. This metropolitan city has the greatest population in India among the other metropolitan cities. It also has the world’s eighth largest population and is among the most populated urban areas in the whole world. 

This includes the urban regions of Thane, Kalyan, Navi Mumbai and Bhiwandi. Mumbai is situated on India’s west coast and contains a profound natural harbour.  Mumbai was presented with the honourable name of ‘alpha world city’ in 2009 and it’s also India’s most prosperous city with the greatest GDP among other cities in Central, West or South Asia.

St. Michael's Church is among the oldest Roman Catholic churches present in Mumbai and is Traveling in Mumbai in One Dayinformally called Mahim Church. This church is popular because of its Novenas held on Wednesdays and is visited by a huge crowd. The church’s original construction was in 1534 and it is one among the most ancient Portuguese buildings that still exist in Mumbai.  This church was rebuilt numerous times and the present building dates back to 1973.

The Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir, situated in Prabhadevi, Mumbai is dedicated to Shri Ganesh. This temple was initially built in 1801, on November 19, by Deubai Patil and Laxman Vithu. The temple contains a small hall (mandap) with a shrine of Siddhi Vinayak and the inner roof is gold-plated with a statue of Ganesha at the centre.
