History of Tata Memorial Hospital
The migration of the administrative body of Tata Memorial Hospital & Cancer Research Institute to the Department of Atomic Energy in the year 1962 was a major change in its history. At the sole effort of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the hospital and Cancer Research Institute got merged with each other as the two integral wings of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) on the year 1966: this professional merging has initiated a balanced philanthropic venture for eradication and treatment of cancer at the best level support from Indian Government.
