Today news channels are contributing a lot in spreading national as well as international awareness among people. People are pretty much interested in knowing each and every side of current happenings in the world. Other electronic media are also available for the same but news channels overcome all of their features because they deliver the live and up to date news in an attractive manner.

Various News Channels in Mumbai

Mumbai, as we all know, is a hub of a large number of Television associations which have got several news channels under them. These channels cover all the sectors of society whether it is about media, entertainment, sports or music. People have to pay a specific amount to use the service of various news channels.

The city has got many international news channel organizations too. A well known national television broadcaster termed as Doordarshan is also watched in many households free of cost. Various news channels that are being watched in Mumbai are: STAR News, Bloomberg TV, ET Now, IBN-7 etc. These are some of the news channels which are famous for broadcasting of live news right on time. People rely on these news channels because they have a good record and are never involved in any kind of fake stuff.

STAR News is a Hindi news channel which is watched in high percentage in many households. People, who have their interest in business or news related to share or stock market, prefer watching Bloomberg TV which is broadcast 24-hours in English language. Times Group owns a business news channel named as ET Now that is broadcast in Mumbai. Network 18 Ltd owns a news channel in Hindi namely, IBN-7.

Apart from Hindi and English news channels, some regional language channels are also broadcast in Mumbai for local people ex, Zee 24 Taas which is in Marathi language and owned by Zee Network. ABP Majha is another news channel in its regional language that broadcasts news whole day and night. The list goes on because a large number of news channels broadcast over here.

Nowadays, it is very important to be well aware of what all is happening around you and people spend a lot of time daily in watching latest news. So news channels make very serious efforts and try to broadcast latest news and events to keep their viewers satisfied and up-to-date. They try to make news so interesting so that people follow them more as compared to other channels. The natives of Mumbai generally speak Marathi, as it is their regional language. Hence, there is an extra category of their regional news channels apart from Hindi and English, which makes Mumbai a central place of numerous news channels.
