Akuri on toast
It is rated as one of the highest levels of the Parsi dishes which is prepared by different families in the different manners according to their taste. It’s considered as one of the best breakfast dish. Though the variations in the ingredients are vociferously debated. It is made up of the scrambled eggs with the onions, tomatoes (and also some mangoes depending upon the season), red chilli powder, green chillies and topped with the fresh coriander. Sometimes people do add some milk, jeera (cumin powder), curry leaves, and even the ginger paste.
This special dish could be taken any duration of the time whether it is the breakfast, lunch or the dinner or the snacks time. But for sure they can’t live without this specific dish which is considered as the life line of the Mumbai’s. It is made up of the mashed boiled potatoes with the green chillies, ginger, garlic, lime juice, turmeric and the fresh coriander leaves which are dipped in the besan (gram flour) batter and then it is deep fried. It can be served either with the green chutney or the fried green chillies.
The Bombay Sandwich
This street food originated as a result of mixing some of the most unlikely ingredients. Butter is layered thickly on slices of white bread and sandwiched between the two slices are thin pieces of beetroot, cucumbers, onion, mint and boiled potatoes and more veggies. The entire thing is then divided into 4 triangles
The street side dish which is invented by the combination of the most of the unlikely ingredients. Lavishly white bread which is buttered and the sandwiched between them thin slices of the beetroot, boiled potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion rings, mint chutney etc. It is divided into the four triangles so that the layers without spilling them, you should get the most refreshing tangy taste, after each and every bite.
