Bade Miya Mumbai

Located exactly behind the iconic Gateway of India and nestled inside a dingy narrow lane is a place called Bade Miya in Mumbai. Highly unassuming and even little unhygienic this place may look like, but it is here that Mumbai’s best street food is cooked and served. Every evening as Mumbai gets ready for its vivacious nightlife, Bade Miya gets all ready to host what can only be termed as ‘street food carnival’. A carnival where delicious Mughlai cuisines meet Mumbai’s effervescent & vibrant nightlife. Where best of kebabs and chicken biryanis are served to foodies at the most unbeatable price.

Bade Miya’s Specialties

Bade Miyan in MumbaiIt is Mughlai cuisine and kebabs all the way at Bade Miya. Kebabs here are especially awesome and are considered to be the real specialty of this street food restaurant.

Another specialty of Bade Miya is ‘Baida Roti’. This is a special type of roti that is quite popular among the regular visitors of Bade Miya. And there are wide varieties of Baida Roti available here: Chicken Baida Roti, Mutton Baida Roti, Paneer Baida Roti and many other varieties.

Bade Miya is not at all pricy but little overcrowded

One of the specialty & USP of Bade Miya is that everything here is very moderately priced. Here a healthy meal for four people would cost approximately Rs.900 - Rs.1000 bucks, which is quite modest considering today’s high inflation. But you’ll have to bear with waiting period here. The usual waiting period is 15-20 minutes and sometimes even longer. This is obviously because Bade Miya is always jam packed with foodies. During insane peak hours you might even have to struggle to summon a waiter. This is all typical of Bade Miyan, but again the food here is so great that nobody complains about inconveniences.
