Mumbai,the entertainment capital of India where the film industry is flourishing from decades.It is an epicenter of Hindi Cinema ,television popularly and informally known as "Bollywood". Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest centers of film production in the world also.The Filmcity of Mumbai established in Goregaon, Mumbai in 1977 under the Maharashtra Goverment undertaking as "MAHARASHTRA FILM, STAGE & CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED" to provide more facilities and concessions on making the films to the industry. It is now known as "Dadasaheb Phalke Chtranagari" in the memory of father of Indian Cinema Dadasaheb Phalke.
The largest Film Industry has well equipped indoors and outdoor shooting facility.It has several recording rooms, gardens, lakes, theatres and grounds that serve as the venue of many Bollywood film shootings.Where as it was developed away from the Mumbai city life,generally used for bollywood movies's shooting and if any guest want to go inside then the visitor can view the set of the films and shooting also but only after the prior permission by the authorities.
